Gifted Gab


I absolutely love my current job in 4th grade, and I love my students!  4th graders are on the brink of  learning independence, and it is so fun to see them grow and mature as the year progresses! 

Prior to this job, however, I worked as an elementary gifted resource teacher, teaching a different grade level each day.  My students ranged from kindergarteners to 5th graders.  Without a doubt, each day was new and different!

Because of my experiences teaching, many of the curriculum resources I create are designed with each of these 4 content strands in mind:

1) Critical Thinking
2) Creative Thinking
3) Research
4) Communication Skills

One of my dear educator friends always says, "A rising tide lifts all ships."  She firmly believes, as do I, that strong educational programs strengthen the entire school!  Whether you teach gifted education, special education, or regular education, I hope that you will be able to relate to many of the stories you find here, as well as benefit from my ideas and classroom resources.
