In the Home Stretch...What's Up for the Week?!

Hope you have had an awesome weekend!  The weather here has been BEAUTIFUL!!!  Lots up in the week ahead, so thought I would share a few details with you...
First of all, this teacher has got to get serious about exercise!  Walked/ran today and am sure I will be feeling it tomorrow!  Hitting the track this week as much as possible!

My middle schooler also plays in the lacrosse play-offs this weekend...Go Vikings!  Of course, he had to have some new kicks for the big games...apparently this is serious! LOL
Can you believe that we are so close to the end of the school year?  My friend Paige posted this pic above as her FB profile image...unbelievable and exciting!

Now, on to the upcoming school week...Tomorrow we are concluding our study of barrier islands.  Our study trip to a local island was last week, so Monday we will wrap up and review the info we have learned.
Students will also finish sharing their homemade bird nests.  They did a phenomenal job on these projects!
On Tuesday, we will begin our study of desert plant and animal adaptations.  In addition, we will add in some Cinco de Mayo learning fun.  Here are just a few of the activities we will be doing...
Want to see more?  Here is my entire Cinco de Mayo unit.
Towards the end of the week, we will be making some Mother's Day surprises for our mothers and grandmothers.  We will also be reading about the history of Mother's Day, completing some creative writing, and racing to solve some Mother's Day Math Facts!

Want even more Mother's Day ideas?  Here is my entire Mother's Day resource pack...
Enjoy your week!  Hope it is full of lots of hugs and sunshine!
