Gobble, gobble! Hi, everyone! This week's book of the week goes along with the Thanksgiving enrichment and extension activities we have been doing to enhance learning in our classroom. We read The Turkey Saves the Day, which is one of my all-time favorite Thanksgiving books! This book is a great way to launch a discussion of creative problem solving.
Then my students completed a Thanksgiving glyph about their own Thanksgiving traditions and preferences. They used their responses to complete construction paper turkeys. You will see examples of these below, and they are absolutely adorable.
